Obituary

Lillian G. Scholl Kray, 63, of Fayette City, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, in UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. Born in Belmont, N.Y., on July 19, 1944, she was the daughter of Russell and Betty Okeson Fanton, who survive and reside in Belmont. Lillian was a retired social worker. A member of the First Presbyterian Church in Belle Vernon, she also was a member of the Bell Choir of the church. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Louis E. Kray, one son and daughter-in-law, Erik D. and Laurie Scholl, of Fayette City, one daughter and son-in-law, Kirsten R. and Sean Dougherty, of Havre de Grace, Md., six grandchildren, Ryan and Brennan Treadwell, Caelan and Eryn Scholl, and Patrick and Scott Dougherty, and three brothers, Eugene Fanton, of Belmont, Roger Fanton, of Pavilion, N.Y., and Ronald Fanton, of Belmont. Friends will be received Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Belle Vernon/Rostraver Township (724-929-7934), www.jamesstumpfuneralhome.com. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10 a.m. Monday, April 14, at The First Presbyterian Church, 501 Fayette Ave., Belle Vernon, for a funeral service with the Rev. Suzanne Currie officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery, Rostraver Township. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
