Lilas Amelia Turcaso, 91, of Monessen, died Saturday, April 11, 2015, in Westmoreland Manor. She was born in Washington Township on Oct. 26, 1923, the daughter of the late Dan and Helen Haggerty Rohland. Mrs. Turcaso grew up in Washington Township and spent most of her adult life in Monessen. Years ago, she worked at Corning Glass in Charleroi. She is survived by a son, George (Patricia) Latta of Delaware City, Del.; son-in-law, John E. Kerestesi of Monessen; four grandchildren, John C. (Kristin) Kerestesi, Joshua C. (Nicole) Kerestesi, Angel and Ellen Latta; and by several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Raymond Latta; daughter, Ruthann Kerestesi; and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen. Services will be held at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Jack Hernstrom officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
