Obituary
Lila Hill,61,of Fayette City,R.D.1,died Friday morning,Sept. 29,1961 at 8:30 o'clock at her home after a long illness. Miss Hill was born in Johnstown,May 9,1900,a daughter of the late John and Gertrude Sara Dovey Hill. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church,Fayette City,and was a retired clerk for Corning Glass Co.,Charleroi. Surviving are six sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Comstock of Colorado Springs, Colo.,Mrs. Edith Kerr of Pittsburgh, Bertha Hill of Bucyrus, Ohio, Mrs. Grace Smith of Holly Hill,Fla.,Mrs. Esther Livingstone of Red Creek,N.Y. and Nellie Hill of Fayette City; two brothers, John W. of Bedford,Ohio and James H. of Corning, N.Y. Friends are being received at the George M. McCrory and Son Funeral Home,Fayette City where funeral services will be held Monday,Oct. 2,at 2 p.m. The Rev. Leslie Papp will officiate. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. George M.McCrory and Son,funeral directors.
