Obituary
Mrs. Lida Finch Bauer,73,of Fayette City,died Thursday,Feb. 16,1967 at 8 p.m. in Speers Convalescent Home at Markleyburg after a lenghty illness. Born in Fayette City on April 7,1893,she was a daughter of the late Murdock and Eliza K.Brightwell Finch. Mrs. Bauer was a member of Fayette City Presbyterian Church. Surviving are a son, Edward R.Jr.of Union City,Calif.;two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Delilah) Walton of Fayette City and Mrs. Thomas (Floreine) Jones of Youngstown,Ohio;two sisters,Mrs. Kate F. Hough of Fayette City and Mrs. Elmer Pyle of Dundock,Md.;five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her husband,Edward R. Sr.,died in 1958. Friends will be received at the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home in Fayette City after 1 p.m. Feb. 18. Service there Monday,Feb.20,at 11 a.m. with the Rev. H.D. Hough,of Leechburg Presbyterian Church,and the Rev. Fred G. Gnatuk,of Fayette City Presbyterian Church,officiating. Interment,Belle Venon Cemetery. Howard W. McCrory,funeral director.
