Lewis S. Griffith,2132 Montclair N.E.,Warren,Ohio,formerly of Speers,died Friday,March 12,1982,at 4:45 a.m. at the Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. Born in Charleroi,Mr.Griffith was the son of the late Shirley and Pearl Curl Griffith. Mr. Griffith lived in Warren,Ohio,for over 30 years and previously had been a resident of Speers.He was a retired motor inspector for the Copperweld Steel Corp.of Warren. In addition to his parents,Mr. Griffith was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Patricia Griffith,in July,1945. Survivors include his widow,Isabel Palfrey Griffith,and a daughter,Jolly Lou Griffith at home,and four sisters,Mrs. Edna Godfrey of Speers,Mrs. Albert (Gertrude) Kissler of Belle Vernon,Yvonne Hoffman of Belle Vernon and Mrs. James (Doris) Halt of Speers Hill,Charleroi. Friends are being received at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services on Monday,March 15 at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev. Dennis M. Hensley,pastor of the Speers United Methodist Church,officiating. Burial will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
