Obituary

Lewis B.McKeever,87,formerly of 707 1/2 Henry St.,Belle Vernon,died Saturday,April 26,1975,at 5:10 a.m.in the Aspinwall Veterans Administration Hospital,where he had been a patient since January. Born Dec.1,1887,in Rostraver Twp.,he was a son of the late Robert L.and Elizabeth Fisher McKeever. Mr.McKeever was a retired employee of the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was an Army veteran of World War I. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon and the Belle Vernon American Legion. Mr.McKeever was preceded in death by his wife,Myra,in 1971. Surviving are one brother,Walter of Mansfield,Ohio,thrss sisters,Mrs.Martha Sauers of Cleveland,Ohio,Mrs.Inez Walters of Arlington,Va.,Mrs.Janet Mapel of Coraopolis,seven nephews and five nieces. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.on Sunday at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev.R.Dawson Hopson,pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon,officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
