Lewis Conn; 93; of Belle Vernon died Saturday; November 24; 2007 in his home. A son of the late Rosario and Rose Renzi Conn; he was born in Tyler; PA on November 5; 1914. Catholic by faith; he had lived his entire life in Belle Vernon. He was the first person to do refrigeration work in the Mon Valley; had owned and operated Conn’s Refrigeration since 1947 and in the later years he worked with his son; Chooch; in the same business. Lewis also served in the U.S. Army in South Africa during World War II. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law; Ralph & Elaine Conn and Alex ‘Chooch’ and Denise Conn; all of Belle Vernon; three grandchildren; Nicole Niles and her husband Clay of Stafford; VA; Kimberly Conn and Alexis Conn; both of Belle Vernon and two great-grandchildren; Trevor and Teagan Niles. Mr. Conn; the last surviving member of his immediate family; was also preceded in death by his wife; Catherine Lackner Conn on September 17; 2002 and three brothers; Anthony; Michael and Ralph Conn. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.
