L. Russell Lefevre of 75 Main St., Pricedale,died Tuesday,Jan. 3,1989,at 6:55 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. He was 88. Mr. Lefever was born June 4,1900,in Lancaster,a son of the late George and Susanna Meckley Lefevre. He was a member of the Union Church of Pricedale. Mr.Lefevre retired in 1968 from the security department of the former Admiral Homes in West Newton. A Pricedale resident for the past 56 years,he had previously lived in Belle Vernon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bosetti Lefevre,on July 13,1988. Survivors include one son,Edwin E. Lefevre of Monessesn;four daughters,Mrs. Anthony (Georgetta) Galloni of Charleroi,Mrs. James (Eunice) Parreco of Pittsburgh,Mrs. John (Joan) Benyak and Mrs. Lawrence (Iris) Myers,both of Monessen;five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Friday,Jan.6 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David R. Reeves Jr.,pastor of the Union Church of Pricedale,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
