Obituary

Lester W. Neudorfer, aged 24 years, a son of Mr. and Mrs. W.G. Neudorfer,of McKee avenue,died Wednesday evening,Feb. 26,1936 at 6 o'clock in the St. Agnes hospital, Philadelphia,where he had been a patient for several weeks. The young man had for the past three years been employd on an oil tanker which plied between Philadelphia and Louisiana,and upon returning from a trip a few weeks ago was stricken ill. He was removed to the hospital and a number of physicians called in on the case which was finally diagnosed as lyphoid fever.  The young man grew steadily worse until the end came. Lester Neudorfer was born and reared in Monessen.  He atteneded and was graduated from the Monessen High School with the class of 1929,and has a host of friends here who will learn with deep regret of his passing.  Surviving are his parents and four brothers, Russell of Philadelphia,and Walter,Merle and Leonard, all at home. The body will arrive in Monessen Thursday evening,accompanied by his father and brother, Leonard,who were with him when the end came.  Funeral services are announced for Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Neudorfer home, in charge of Rev. J.R. McFarland,pastor of the Presbyterian Church.  Interment will follow in the Denmark cemetery,near Jeannette. (  He was moved to Belle Vernon Cemetery on June 4,1952)
