Obituary

Lester J.Bricker,74,of 58 Scenery Blvd.,Monessen,died Thursday,March 18,1976,at 12:30 p.m. shortly after arrival at Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Orville,Ohio,on Nov.5,1901 and had lived in the Mon Valley the past 42 years. Mr.Bricker had worked for the West Penn Power Company,Charleroi Division,as a lineman supervisor until his retirement in November,1966. He belonged to the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon and was past master of the F.& A.M. Lodge 613 of Charleroi. He was preceded in death by a sister,Mildred Westenhaver,in 1975. Surviving are his widow,Mary Geldbaugh Bricker,two daughters,Mrs.Clarence (Barbara) Seitz of New Haven,Ind.,and Mrs.Robert (Nancy) Heckman of Belle Vernon,one son,James R.Bricker of Cuyahoga Falls,Ohio,two brothers,Frank J.Bricker of Pittsburgh and Paul F.Bricker of Bradenton,Fla,,two stepsisters,Mary Jane Sterett and Betty Stewart,and a stepbrother,William Bricker,all of California state,eight grandchildren and one great-grandson. Friends will be received at the Rhome Funeral Home,Inc.,1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen,from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Services will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev.H.Dawson Hopson of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Rhome funeral directors in charge.
