Leona E. Hess,81,formerly of Arnold City,Belle Vernon,died Thursday, Oct. 14,1993,at 1:15 a.m. in the Adams Personal Care Home in West Brownsville. She was born May 19,1912,in Elizabeth,a daughter of the late William and Hannah Eberts Rodgers. Protestant by faith,she was preceded in death by her husband,George Hess in 1973; a son, Clarence (Buddy) Hess in 1964 and a daughter,Maxine Hess in 1980. Survivors include four daughters, Katherine Muztsfago of McKeesport,Betty E. Durr of Fayette City R.D.,Kathy Sichi of Belle Vernon and Karen Bobich of Jacob Creek; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Thrusday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,and Saturday until 11 a.m.,when services will be held in the funeral home. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
