Obituary

Leon Delzangle,79,of Monessen,died Friday,March 2,1990,in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Township,after a declining illness. Mr.Delzangle was born Aug.12,1910,in Monessen,a son of the late Morcelin and Augustin Joussen Delzangle. He was a retired employee of the Blooming Mill Department of the Monessen Works of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. A Lutheran by faith,Mr.Delzangle had been a Monessen resident all of his life. He was a U.A.Army veteran of World War II. Mr.Delzangle was a member ofthe Allison-Lescanac Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No.1190,Monessen,the United Steel Workers of America and the Mon Valley Association of Retired Steelworkers (MARS). He was also a social member of the Monessen Volunteer Fire Department's Hilltop Social Club. Two sisters and five brothers are deceased. Surviving are his wife,Elizabeth Beres Delzangle,one son,Raymond Delzangle,of Monessen,three daughters,Mrs.ALbert (Marlene) Morgan of New Stanton,Mrs.Dennis (Barbara) Ries of Perryopolis,and Mrs.Paul (Catherine) Temoshenka of Monessen,and seven grandchildren. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Robert A.Billick Funeral Home,Inc.,Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue,Monessen. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m.in the funeral home,with the Rev.John Euker officiating. Burial will be held in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Robert A.Billick Funeral Home Inc.,is in charge of arrangements.
