Leola B. Grant,of 671 Reed Ave.,Monessen died Wednesday,Aug. 25,1982 at 3 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. She was 70. Mrs. Grant was born Jan. 14,1912,in Wilkesboro, N.C.,a daughter of the late Elmer Becker and Odessa Calahan Becker. She lived in Monessen for 45 years. She was a member of the Wayman A.M.E. Church in Monessen. Mrs. Grant was also a member of the Ellie Temple No. 428,where she served as a past Grand Daughter Ruler and Assistant Grand Director of Silver Liberties. She was also a past president of the I.B.P.O.E. of the world. She is survived by three sons, Delmer Mosley of Monessen,Fleming Mosley of Lorraine, Ohio and William Mosley of Monessen and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband,the late Rev. Marcus Grant,who died on Oct. 29,1966. Friends will be received at the Draper Funeral Home,608 Sixth St.,Monessen,Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Elks services will be held Friday at 8 p.m. Services will be held Saturday,Aug. 28,at 11 a.m. in the Wayman A.M.E. Church,Monessen,with the Rev. E. F. Davis officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Draper Funeral Home directors are in charge of the arrangements.
