Mr. Hlxenbaugh was born Oct. 3; 1902; In Belle Vernon; a son of the late Freeman and Beatrice Richards Hixenbaugh. A banker by profession; Mr. Hlxenbaugh retired from Equibank. N.A.; in 1967;where he served as manager of Equibank’s Roscoe;Finleyille and California branch offices.
A 32nd degree Mason and
past master of Belle Vernon
F&AM Lodge; he was also a
member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon. In addition to his parents;Mr.Hixenbaugh was also preceded in death by a granddaughter;Susan Maclay;on Feb.15;1961. Surviving are his wife;Rachael B.Hixenbaugh;at home;one daughter;Mrs.Don (Nancy) Maclay of Springfield;Pa.;one grandson;Timothy Maclay of Springfield;Pa.;and two sisters;Mrs.Lawrence (Edith) George of York;Pa.;and Mrs.Leighty (Marie) Steen of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 10 a.m.to 12 noon. Graveside services will be held at 12:15 p.m.Wednesday;with the Rev.Lee Dinsel;pastor;First United Methodist Church;Belle Vernon;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Raymond D.Dalfonso Funeral Home;441 Reed Ave.;Monessen;is in charge of arrangements.
