Lennie Odell Anderson Sr., 60, of Monessen, passed away suddenly on Friday, Jan. 16, 2015. Born in Charleroi Monessen Hospital on Dec. 16, 1954, he was the son of the late Emanuel and Thelma L. Anderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Emanuel Jr., Clarence “PeeWee” and Darnell Anderson; three sisters, Frances Davis, Flora Madison and Mary Ann Rawls. Lennie was a graduate of Job Corps in Bristol, Tenn. He was formerly employed by Corning Glass for 19 years and later at Single Source Roofing of Pittsburgh. A loving and devoted father, he leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Cynthia Dee Anderson of Monessen; two sons, Jeremiah Pace of Erie and Lennie Anderson Jr. of Monessen; and one daughter, Kiesha Anderson of Monessen; two brothers, Roscoe and Raven (Jessica) Anderson, both of Monessen; two sisters, JoAnn (David) Smith of Uniontown and Carol Ann Steed of San Jose, Calif.; six grandchildren who will always remember their Pap with fondness and love; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will always remember his loving and kind ways. He loved cooking, music and spending time with loved ones. Family and friends will be received at Gate of Heaven Church of God in Christ, 644 Reed Ave, Monessen, on Tuesday, January 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21, followed by funeral services.
