Lena Mary Demunno Nicolette, 76,of 815 Henry St.rear,Belle Vernon,died Thursday,Sept. 28,1989,at 8:49 p.m. in her home following a lingering illness. She was born Jan. 12,1913,in New York,a daughter of the late Angelo and Rosaria Salvina Demunno. She was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area. She was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. She was a member of Third Order of Sr. Francis. She was a CCD teacher in the 1960s and 1970s. She was a former member of the Ladies Guild of St. Sebastian Church,the Catholic Daughters of America,Belle Vernon Court #1522. She was a member of the Annita Garibaldi Lodge of Belle Vernon, the Belle Vernon Defense Club,the Galavanters Club,the Mon Valley Senior Citizens Club,and the Belle Vernon,Monessen,Charleroi and Fayette City Golden Age clubs. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by one son,John Nicolette on Sept. 13,1948,and one brother,Angelo Amendola. Survivors include her husband,Frank "Fufu" Nicolette,one daughter,Mrs. Jerry (Rosemarie) Barron of Belle Vernon,two grandchildren,Amy and Jerome Barron,both of Belle Vernon,and one half-sister, Mrs. Marion Gnora of Monessen. Friends will be received Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. A Prayer service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m.,followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
