Mrs.Sears was born Jan.10;1922;in North Charleroi;a daughter of Nellie Devroud Francis of Gulfport;Fla.;and the late Frank W.Francis. A member of the First Presbyterian Church of Monongahela;she had lived in the Belle Vernon and Monessen areas the past nine years. Mrs.Sears served in the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps during World War II. Survivors include two sons;David Francis of Coatesville and Sgt.Frank Sears of Colorado Springs;Colo.;three daughters;Mrs.Joseph (Sally) Bachism of Monessen;Sherry Sears of Monessen and Mrs.Kenneth (Barbara) Sethman of Belle Vernon;a brother;Merland Francis of Fayetteville;N.C.;and ten grandchildren. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where services will be held Saturday;Jan.4 at 11 a.m. with the Rev.Charles LaPlaca;pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon;officiating.
