Lawrence R.Isbell of 82 McKinley Ave.;North Charleroi;was pronounced dead of a gunshot wound on Wednesday;Aug.10;1983;at Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Twp. He was 44. Born in Devalls Bluff;Ark.;Oct.22;1939;he was the son of Arnell Isbell of Donora and Celia Price Isbell of North Charleroi. Mr.Isbell lived in North Charleroi most of his life. A Baptist by faith;he was a member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church of Lock Four. He was a member of The American Legion of Donora. In addition to his parents;he is survived by three daughters;Brenda Denise;Stephanie and Quendalyn Isbell;all of McDonald;and five brothers;Arnell Isbell Jr.of Detroit;Mich.;Richard Isbell of Monessen and Thurman Isbell;Nathaniel Isbell;and Eric Isbell;all at home in North Charleroi. Also surviving are five sisters;Alice Isbell of Pittsburgh;Magnolia Taylor of Pleasant Hills;Brenda Collins of Detroit;Debbie Isbell of Monessen and Linda Isbell of the state of California;and a host of aunts;uncles and relatives. Mrs.Isbell was preceded in death by a brother Lemuel Isbell. Friends are being received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the William R.Taylor Funeral Home;645 McMahon Ave.;Monessen;and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Mount Sinai Baptist Church;North Charleroi. Services will be held at 1 p.m.;Saturday at the church with Re.E.W.Demps;retired pastor of Mount Sinai Baptist Church;officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
