Obituary

Lawrence R.Isbell of 82 McKinley Ave.,North Charleroi,was pronounced dead of a gunshot wound on Wednesday,Aug.10,1983,at Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Twp. He was 44. Born in Devalls Bluff,Ark.,Oct.22,1939,he was the son of Arnell Isbell of Donora and Celia Price Isbell of North Charleroi. Mr.Isbell lived in North Charleroi most of his life. A Baptist by faith,he was a member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church of Lock Four. He was a member of The American Legion of Donora. In addition to his parents,he is survived by three daughters,Brenda Denise,Stephanie and Quendalyn Isbell,all of McDonald,and five brothers,Arnell Isbell Jr.of Detroit,Mich.,Richard Isbell of Monessen and Thurman Isbell,Nathaniel Isbell,and Eric Isbell,all at home in North Charleroi. Also surviving are five sisters,Alice Isbell of Pittsburgh,Magnolia Taylor of Pleasant Hills,Brenda Collins of Detroit,Debbie Isbell of Monessen and Linda Isbell of the state of California,and a host of aunts,uncles and relatives. Mrs.Isbell was preceded in death by a brother Lemuel Isbell. Friends are being received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the William R.Taylor Funeral Home,645 McMahon Ave.,Monessen,and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Mount Sinai Baptist Church,North Charleroi. Services will be held at 1 p.m.,Saturday at the church with Re.E.W.Demps,retired pastor of Mount Sinai Baptist Church,officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Trudy Taylor Clanagan,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
