Lawrence M.Weaver of 1349 Fayette Ave.;Belle Vernon;(Fairhope);died suddenly Friday;Nov.5;1982;at 11:08 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital;Inc. He was 71. Born in Banning;May 14;1911;he was the son of the late Jess Weaver and Margaret Brubaker Amalong of Belle Vernon;who survives. A retired police chief for Washington Twp.;Mr.Weaver had been serving as the Washington Twp.Juvenile Officer. He was a member of Mentor Road Baptist Church of Elizabeth;the Washington Twp.Lions Club. Mr.Weaver was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.;Monessen plant. Surviving are his wife;Edith Robbins Weaver;two daughters;Mrs.Clyde (Peggy) Holesapple and Mrs. Thomas (Patsy) Gilchrist;both of Belle Vernon;four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren;and one sister;Mrs.Bonetta Dorsey of Belle Vernon. Friends are being received at the Howard E.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;Saturday from 7-9 p.m.and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.and until the hour of service Monday. Funeral services Monday;Nov.8;will begin at 11 a.m.at the funeral home with the Rev.Bruce Gephart;pastor of the Mentor Road Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
