Graveside Services were held yesterday at 2:30 p.m. in Belle Vernon Cemetery;Belle Vernon;for Lawrence B.Mattis;73;of North Versailles;Pa.;who died Friday;Nov.2;1984;in Mckeesport Hospital;McKeesport;Pa. Mr.Mattis was a retired technican for U.S.Steel Corporation’s National Works in McKeesport. His late wife;Mary Mogan Mattis;was from Charleroi. Mr.Mattis was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are one brother;J.West Mattis;and one sister;Hallie Himes;both of Richland;Wash. Rev.James Laughrey;pastor;Port Vue Methodist Church;officiated at the services. The family suggets contributions in Mr.Mattis’ memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
