Laura Viola Pakish; 75; of Reno; Nev.; died after a brief and sudden illness on Sunday; Aug. 28; 2005; in Stanford University Medical Center. Raised in Pennsylvania; she was born on March 24; 1930; a daughter of the late Steve and Margaret Smith. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years; John Pakish Jr.; her sons; John; Craig (Linda) and Keith (Teresa) Pakish; her sisters; Margaret Crilley and Gerry Krivoniak; and her grandchildren; Jonathan; Steven; Jenifer; Janelle; Bradley and Nathan Pakish. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by one brother; John Smith; and three sisters; Bertha Sepashe; Irene Lloyd and Betty Chomosh. At her request; there will be no funeral services. A private memorial service will be held for her family. Burial will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
