Obituary

Laura Graham Nahar,94,of Country Care Manor,Washington Township,formerly of Belle Vernon,died Sunday,Aug.1,1999,at 3 a.m. in Country Care Manor. Born Aug.21,1904,she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Lillie Gibson Graham. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area,Mrs.Nahar had resided at Country Care Manor the past 4 1/2 years. A homemaker,she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon. She was the last surviving member of her inmmediate family. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband,Leonard Nahar,in 1970,four sisters,Nora Graham,Ann Fee,Effie Pugh and Eleanor Toots Barrass,and one brother,Fred Graham. She is survived by nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev James C.Ramsey,pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon,officiating. Interment wil follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
