Laura A.Green of Monongahela R.D.1;formerly of Detroit;Mich.;died Monday;Aug.26;1985;in the Mon Valley Hospital. She was 87. Mrs.Green was born March 10;1898;in Birmingham;Ala.;a daughter of the late Daniel and Cindy Carpenter. In addition to her parents whe was preceded in death by her husband;Charles Green. Survivors include four nieces;Ida Johnson of Monongahela;with whom she made her home;Arwilda Mathis of Monessen;Viola Rawlins of Monongahela and Mrs.Robert West of Pittsburgh;three nephews;Daniel and William Carpenter;both of Donora;and Cleo Carpenter of Detroit;Mich.;and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Draper Funeral Home;608 Sixth St.;Monessen. Funeral services will be held Friday;Aug.30;at 1 p.m. in St.Paul Baptist Church of Donora wih the Rev.Nathaniel Walker;pastor;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Draper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
