Obituary

Larry James Kibler, 52, of Columbus Avenue, Belle Vernon, died Friday, May 3, 2002, at 3:50 a.m. in his home. He was born Nov. 20, 1949, in North Charleroi, a son of the late Harry and Lida Jane McKinley Kibler. He was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Allenport Plant, where he worked as an electrician. He also worked as a part-time police officer for Belle Vernon Borough in 1985-86. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served in the U.S. Military Police. He was a member and treasurer of the East Belle Vernon Athletic Association for 25 years, and a member of the United Steelworkers Local 1187 and the Sinnamahoning Sportsmen Association Inc. Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Bacha Kibler, to whom he would have been married 29 years on Sept. 29, 2002, one daughter, Allison Kibler of Belle Vernon and her fiancee, Sean Machusko, one son, Ryan Kibler of Belle Vernon, one brother, Harry Bryon Kibler and his wife, Jan, of Orlando, Fla., his mother-in-law, Josephine Lubas Bacha of Belle Vernon, sister-in-law, Joanne Santoro and husband, David, of Belle Vernon, three brothers-in-law, John C. Bacha and his wife, Connie, of Mt. Lebanon, Robert Bacha of Belle Vernon, and George Bacha and his wife, Kathy, of Yukon, nine nieces and nephews, Julie, Zach, and Josh Santoro, Robin, Kelly, Brenda and Bryon Kibler, and J.J. and Jason Bacha, and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be held Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, Family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. A prayer service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, with the Rev. John R. Cindric, V.F. pastor officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian will pray the rosary at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
