He was born March 5;1948;in Lke Preston;S.D.;a son of the late Arthur W.Johnson and Esther Dierks Johnson;who survives and resides in De Smet;S.D. Mr. Johnson had resided in the Mon Valley for the past 19 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War;having served in the U.S.Marine Corp;achieving the rank of Sergeant. He was a sales representative for Baltimore Life Insurance Company and had previously been employed by Prudentail Insurance Company;where he had worked for 17 years. Mr.Johsnon was a member of the Monessen Lions Club. Surviving are hsi wife;Susan Jo Barger Johnson of Belle Vernon;a daughter;Marijo Johnson of Belle vernon;a son;Bryan Johnson of Belle Vernon;two brothers;Richard Johnson of De Smet;S.D.and Steve Johnson of Sioux Falls;S.D.;and a sister;Mrs.Robert (Charlotte) Berg of Seattle;Wash. In addition to his father;he was preceded in death by a sister;Judith Jenson. Friends will be received in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev.John R.Cindric;pastor of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
