Larry C. (Whitey) Davis of Fairhope, Belle Vernon,died Friday,July 17,1987,at 2:30 a.m. in his home. He was 49. Mr. Davis was born Feb. 15,1938,in North Charleroi,a son of the late Elmer Davis and of Rhoda Hicks Davis Indof, who survives and resides in Belle Vernon R.D.4. He was most recently employed as a painter and roofer. Mr. Davis was a Protestant by faith. He was a member of the Fairhope Rod and Gun Club,the Veterans' Club of Belle Vernon,and the Fayette County Sportsmen League. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Sharon Boniella, in 1981. Surviving,in addition to his mother, are two brothers, Melvin and Allen Davis,both of Belle Vernon;his stepfather,Henry Indof,of Belle Vernon R.D.4;four step-brothers,Henry,Frank,Donald and Thomas Indof,all of Belle Vernon R.D.4;one stepsister,Mrs. Amy Arrigo of Belle Vernon E.D.4 and several aunts,uncles,nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.,Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until 11 a.m.Monday,the hour of service in the funeral home,with the Rev. Jack Elder,pastor,Fayette City United Methodist Church,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon. The Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
