Kenneth E. Schwartz Sr.,78,of Lowber R.D.1,Fayette City,died suddenly on Saturday,Aug. 19,1989,in the Marian Health Center, Sioux City, Iowa,while vacationing in Minnesota. Mr. Schwartz was born Dec. 22,1910,in Everson,Fayette County,a son of the late Daniel W. and Ida Mae Gwynn Schwartz. He was a retired employee of the Clairton Works of USX Corporation. Mr. Schwartz was a Protestant by faith. A brother,Donald Schwartz,and a sister, Nellie Tikey,are deceased. Surviving are his wife, Roxie Hayden Schwartz;one son, Kenneth E. Schwartz Jr.of Moorhead, Minnesota;two daughters, Mrs. Mike (Jean) Salko of Newell and Nellie Schwartz of Fayette City R.D.1;seven grandchildren;10 great-grandchildren;and one sister, Mrs. John (Charlotte) Means,of Connellsville R.D.2. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday until 1:30 p.m.,when services will be held in the funeral home with Pastor Robert Cromwell of the Little Redstone United Presbyterian Church,Fayette City R.D.1,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
