Obituary

Keithon T. Majors, 28, of Lawrenceville, was called home on Monday, April 6, 2015. Born on May 30, 1986, in Norristown, Pa, he was the son of Dana Majors-Purdue and Terry L. Newton Sr., both surviving. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elizabeth Anne Majors; great-grandmother, Thelma Majors; great-grandfather, Leroy Majors; uncles, Le’kinte Barrett and Willie Howard Jr.; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Keithon, known to many as “BC,” was a caring and loving person. He enjoyed making people laugh, playing sports, getting fly and looking in the mirror “lol,” and spending time with family and the love of his life, Kyra Huggins. Keithon was educated in the Monessen School District. He received his GED at Glen Mills School. Later on in life he received a certificate in business management at Penn State. Keithon was employed by the City Waste Management Company and previously worked at Hairon Bedford. He leaves to cherish in his loving memory, mother, Dana Majors-Purdue of Monessen; father, Terry L. Newton Sr. of Norristown; six sisters, Shcarea Majors, Silver Greene and Ernestine Ellis, all of Monessen; Ariana Queenan, Serenity Newton and Divinity Newton of Norristown and Trissa Lind of Wisconsin; five brothers, Terry Lee Newton Jr., Dorian Ellis and Jacob Majors, all of Monessen, Nicholas Newton and Tristan Newton of Norristown; grandmothers, Francis Barrett and Sharon K. Newton; grandfathers, Willie Howard Sr. and Henry Buster Henderson; six nieces; six nephews; a very loving and close friend, Kyra Huggins; godmother, Harriett Ross, godbrother, Sheldon Davis; godsister, Tacarea Washington and a host other relatives and very close friends. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, 2015, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 230 Reed Ave., Monessen. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 13, 2015, at the church with the Rev. Justin D. Eidinger officiating. Interment will take place at the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
