Katie Mae Haten of 87 Carson St.;Pricedale;died Monday;Aug.1;1983;in the Mon Valley Hospital. She was 65. Mrs.Haten was born Dec.7;1918;in Saraton;Ala.;a daughter of the late Edward and Leila Hale Brown. A resident of Monessen most of her life;she was a member of Antioch Baptist Church;Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents;Mrs.Haten was preceded in death by a son;Reginald Lewis Haten;1980;and a sister;Eddie Mae Arnold;1963. Survivors include three sons;Philip E.;Leonard and Ronald M.Haten;all of Pricedale;two daughters;Eugenia M.Haten of Akron;Ohio and Marguerite Johnson of Monessen;two sisters;Ora Bell Richards and Luretha Grooms;both of Akron;Ohio;seven grandchildren;including Tracy Haten with whom she made her home;four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces;nephews and other relatives. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m.in the Antioch Baptist Church;Belle Vernon;where services will be held Thursday;Aug.4;at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Luther Wormack officiating.
