Mrs. Kathryn Wilson Smith,504 Fayette St.,Belle Vernon died Tuesday, Jan. 3,1978 in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital,following a lengthy illness. She was 54. Born August 24,1923 in Fayette City,Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late James and Mary D. Bruce Wilson. She was a member of the Fayette City United Methodist Church. Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Vernon Smith;one son,Bruce Smith of Belle Vernon and a sister, Mrs. Shelby (Florence) Duvall of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,after 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Frank Gariathy,pastor of the Fayette City United Methodist Church,officiating. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. The McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
