A former resident of Belle
Vernon; Miss Watkins had lived
for the past 16 years at The Salvation Army; Pittsburgh Temple Corps; where she was a
member of the choir; taught
weekly bible study classes;
taught a discipleship class for
new Christians and led the daily
morning praise service.
She was a former member of
Antioch Baptist Church; Belle
Vernon.
Surviving is one sister;
Margaret Peggy Watkins of
Belle Vernon;four nieces;Marie and her husband Leon Johnson of Monessen;Billie J.Hill of Cleveland;Ohio;Urella Watkins of Teaneck;N.J.;and Ernestine Hicks of Wayne;Mich.
Friends will be received
Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. in the Antioch Baptist
Church; Belle Vernon;where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m.with Maj.Charles Kelly Sr.officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Percy E.Law Jr.Funeral Home;Donora.
