Kathryn Fidnarik Hegedus; 80; of Belle Vernon (Fairhope); died Thursday; Oct. 28; 2004; at 1:10 p.m. at Mt. St. Macrina Manor; Uniontown. Born Jan. 7; 1924; in Fairhope; she was a daughter of the late John and Anna Gurecky Fidnarik. A lifelong resident of Fairhope; Mrs. Hegedus was a member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church in Fayette City and retired from Miller’s Department Store in Charleroi; where she worked as a sales and office clerk. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Louis John and Bonnie Hegedus of Chambersburg; one daughter and son-in-law; Kathleen and John Zadrozny of Fairhope; one granddaughter; Amy Daley and husband Mike of Gettysburg; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; Louis P. Hegedus; on Oct. 30; 1995; two brothers; John and Joseph Fidnarik; and three sisters; Mae Zimmaro; Ann Wozniak and Margaret Hoppe. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; family owned and operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon (724-929-6183). A prayer service will be held Monday; Nov. 1; at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home; followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Spirit R.C. Church with the Rev. Leonard J. McAlpin; pastor; as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A Parish Wake service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home. The family suggests contributions in memory of Kathryn Hegedus be made to the Washington Township-Fayette City Lions Club.
