Kathryn Alessio;79;of 105 Water St.;Belle Vernon;died Sunday;July 13;1997;at 8:20 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. Born in Roscoe on Jan.1;1918;she was the daughter of the late John and Julia Olcian Skibo. Mrs.Alessio lived in Belle Vernon for over 60 years;where she was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Domenick (Koke) Alessio on April 15;1992. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law;Charles and Kathleen Alessio of Belle Vernon R.D.5;three brothers;William and Edward Skibo of Roscoe and James Skibo of Applegate;Ore.;two sisters;Julia Rider of Deming;N.M.;and Louise Tentler of Belle Vernon. She was also the special friend of Edward and Betty Misenko;of Belle Vernon;for over 50 years and the godmother of Carol Mazzei of Belle Vernon R.D. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. Prayer services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.;followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon;with the Rev.E.George Saletrik;parochial vicar;officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;is in charge of arrangements.
