Obituary

Katheryn Haywood Brewer of Perryopolis,R.D.1,died Saturday,Aug.29,1981 in Mon Valley Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was 75. Born Nov.9,1905 in California,Pa.,she was the daughter of the late Robert Emmett and Katheryn Dunseth Haywood. Mrs.Brewer was a retired cook and waitress. She was Protestant by faith. She was preceded in death by her husband,Fred Brewer J.,1977,a son,William,in 1973,a son in infancy and two grandchildren. Survivors include two sons,Emery Brewer of Belle Vernon and Kenneth Brewer of Hopwood,three daughters,Mrs.James (Donna) Moats and Mrs.Richard (Beverly) Heffran,both of Belle Vernon,and Mrs.Michael (Linda) Zelesnik of Perryopolis,21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren,a brother,William Haywood of Bera,Ohio,and four sisters,Mrs.Betty Jones of Belle Vernon,Mrs.Martha Venturini of Uniontown,Mrs.Carmine Forte of Ellsworth and Mrs.Harry Hawk Jr.of Connellsville. Friends are being received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and on Tuesday until 1:30 p.m.,the time of service. The Rev.Bruce Smith,pastor of the First Christian Church of Fayette City,will officiate at the services,to be held in the funeral home. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
