Obituary

A former Belle Vernon resident,Mrs. Katherine Zavodsky, 94,of 539 Garfield Ave.,Carnegie, died Monday morning, Feb. 3,1969, in Presbyterian University Hospital,Pittsburgh,shortly after admission.  Born in Czechoslovakia she had been a Belle Vernon resident 60 years before moving to Carnegie.  Mrs. Zavodsky was a member of the National Slovak Society Assembly 112,Charleroi.  Her husband, Joseph,died Nov. 29,1967. Surviving are two daughters, Margaret Zavodsky and Mrs. Karl (Frances) Curry, both of Carnegie. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Feb. 4 at the Harold R. Toner Funeral Home,Belle Vernon.  Service there Thursday, Feb. 6,at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John N. Yohe,pastor of Chartiers Valley United Presbyterian Church, officiating.  Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Haold R.Toner is the funeral director.
