Karen J. Schollaert, 72, of Cartersville, Va., formerly of Long Branch, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, in her home. A daughter of the late Thomas and Alverta Breggle McCall, she was born in Monongahela on Nov. 26, 1942. She resided in Long Branch until eight years ago when she moved to Virginia. She worked as a registered nurse until her retirement and was Baptist by faith. Karen enjoyed flower gardening, fishing, baking and sewing. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Jack E. Schollaert; one son and daughter-in-law, Pat Maggie Schollaert of Powhatan, Va.; one daughter, Suzanne Schollaert of Aliquippa; one brother, Larry McCall of Virginia; and four grandchildren, Shea Malone, Tess Baker, Jacob Schollaert, and Caroline Schollaert.
