Kaliope (Kally) Kafkalas Apodiakos;38;of 800 Schoonmaker Ave.;Monessen;died in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital at 2:20 p.m.Saturday;Jan.13;1962 after a lingering illness. Born in Monessen;she was a 1942 graduate of Monessen High School and a member of St.Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church in Monessen. Her parents;Mr.and Mrs.Stephanos Kafkalas;preceded her in death in the past four years. Surviving are her husband;William Apodiakos;two children;Maria and George;at home;two brothers;Demo and Michael Kafkalas;both of Monessen. Friends are being received at the H.Denver Rhome Funeral Home in Monessen between the hours of 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday;Jan.16 at 1 p.m. with additional rites to follow at 1:30 p.m.in St.Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church with the Rev.Ioakim Isidoridis officiating.
