WIFE OF MICHAEL T.NOGY-MOTHER OF MICHAEL;GREG &CAROL BORN IN 1915 DIED IN MON VALLEY HOSPITAL.
Justine J. Smerczniak Nogy, 62, of 1230 Linn Drive, (Washington Heights), Belle Vernon,died Thursday, April 27,1978 at 9:55 a.m. in the Charleroi Division of the Mon Valley Hospital following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Nogy was born Sept. 17,1915 in Belle Vernon,a daughter of the late Peter and Mary Dudas Smerczniak and was a life-long resident of Belle Vernon. She was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church of Belle Vernon and an active member of the Mon Valley Art Club. Survivors include her husband, Michael T. Nogy; one daughter, Carol Ann Nogy of Rochester, N.Y.; two sons, Michael T. Nogy Jr. of Wichita,,Kan.,and Gregory F. Nogy of West Newton;one sister, Virginia Smerczniak of Belle Vernon; three brothers, John, Philip and Afton Smerczniak, all of Belle Vernon and three grandchildren.Friends will be received in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, where a Prayer service will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Catholic Church of Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
