Justina Kostal;85;of Gillespie;Fayette City;R.D.1;died Monday;Feb.25;1985;at 11:35 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Twp.;following a lengthy illness. Born in Czechoslovakia Aug.30;1899;she was a daughter of the late John and Elona Krivda. Mrs.Kostal was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church of Fayette City. She was preceded in death by her husband;Andrew Kostal on Jan.11;1976 and a daughter;Mrs.Jennie Turcheck on Feb.23;1983. Surviving are four daughters;Mrs.Paul (Helen) Sedlak of Perryopolis R.D.2;Mrs.Gerald (Jessie) Claybaugh and Mrs.Marie Kolescak;both of Belle Vernon;and Mrs.William (Agnes) Molnar of Fayette City R.D.1;15 grandchildren;21 great-grandchildren;two brothers;Josef and Stefan Krivda and a sister;Mrs.Maria Adamik;all in Europe. Friends will be received Thursday from 1 to 9 p.m. at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;where a prayer service will be held Friday;March 1;at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church of Fayette City with Rev.Father Thomas G.Rinn;pastor as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Wake services will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home followed by a parish Rosary at 8 p.m. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
