Julia Swantek; 90; of Belle Vernon (Arnold City); died Monday; Nov. 7; 2005; in the Greenery Nursing & Rehab Center; Canonsburg. She was born Jan. 2; 1915; in Arnold City; a daughter of the late George and Ella Kopcho Yonash. She was a member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church in Fayette City and the Handmaiden’s of the church. Surviving are three daughters; Judy Stringhill and husband Joseph; of Belle Vernon; Patricia Eley of Tampa; Fla.; and Debbie Branthoover and husband Thomas; of Belle Vernon; a son; Charles Swantek and wife Marilyn; of Belle Vernon; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Edward F. Swantek; on April 24; 1985. Friends will be received in the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC.; 334 Main St.; Fayette City; on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday; Nov. 10; until 9:30 a.m.; when a blessing service will take place followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Spirit R.C. Church with the Rev. Fr. Leonard McAlpin as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
