Jules Massey;500 Speer St.;Belle Vernon;died Friday;January 5;1979;in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Twp. He was 57. Mr.Massey was a former resident of Third St.;Monessen. He was born in Monessen;June 14;1921;son of the late Jules and Mary Moniot Massey Jr. Mr.Massey was a retired employee of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.in the coke and chemical plant at Monessen. He was a World War II veteran;having served in the U.S.Army. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene;Belle Vernon;the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion and Monessen Association of Retired Steelworkers;all of Monessen. Mr.Massey is survived by his widow;Virginia Lovas Massey;one son;Charles Massey of Fairhope;(Belle Vernon) and two granddaughters;Melissa and Melinda Massey. In addition to his parents;Mr.Massey was preceded in death by a brother;Emil Massey;and a grandson;Chuckie Massey;in Jan.1977. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;after 4 p.m.Saturday. Services will be held Monday at 1;30 p.m.in the funeral home;with the Rev.Kenneth E.Neiderhiser;pastor of the Church of the Nazarene;Belle Vernon;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
