Obituary

Judith Myers Kornosky, 67, of North Belle Vernon, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005, at 10:36 p.m. in UPMC-Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born June 18, 1938, in Rostraver Township, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Carter and Ann L. O'Hara Myers Barch. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area, Mrs. Kornosky was a member of First Christian Church of Fayette City and a retired speech clinician from Intermediate Unit I. She also was a member of the PSEA and a past president of the former Tuesday Evening Civic Club. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kurt and Carissa Kornosky, of Webb City, Mo., and daughter and son-in-law, Kerry and Frank Funair, of North Belle Vernon, a brother and sister-in-law, Timothy and Kathy Myers, of Rostraver Township, two grandchildren, Kaylee and Evan Kornosky, and a niece, Megan Myers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Army Kornosky, on April 22, 1982. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon (724-929-6l83). Relatives and friends will gather Monday, Dec. 19, at First Christian Church of Fayette City for 10 a.m. funeral services with the Rev. Wayne Boring and the Rev. James R. Ramsey co-officiating.
