Judith Ann (Willey) Cap, 78, of Charleroi, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 12, 2017. She was born May 8, 1939 in Charleroi, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Dorothy Sonafelt Willey. Judy spent many years as a homemaker. After the passing of her husband, Ronald L. Cap in 1984, she enrolled at the Douglas School of Business in Monessen, where she graduated with honors. Shortly after graduation, she began her career with Washington County starting out in the public defender's office and moved her way up to secretary to Commissioners Ed Paluso and Frank Mascara. She later continued her tenure with Washington County as secretary to the Honorable Katherine B. Emery until her recent retirement. Judy leaves behind a daughter, Wendy (Don) Krek of Houston; grandson, Chad DeSantis of Monongahela; sister, Jane Benedetti of Carroll Township; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her twin brother, John "Jack" Willey, and dear friend, John "Bo" Wood.
Friends will be received on Monday, August 14, 2017 from 5-8 PM in the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela. Additional visitations will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 10-11 AM, the time of funeral service, with the Rev. Mark Woomer officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
