Obituary

J. Thomas (Tommie) Toth,61,of Ada Avenue,Belle Vernon,died Wednesday,June 9,1999,at 9:12 p.m. in Mercy Hospital. He was born in Coal Center on May 9,1938,a son of the late Thomas E. Toth and Isabelle Costello Toth,who survives and resides in Perryopolis. Mr. Toth was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,the Charleroi Elks,Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus,the Belle Vernon American Legion,and the Belle Vernon Moose.  The last seven years,he was general manager at the North Charleroi Shop N' Save.  He formerly worked with his father at Toth Market in Lynnwood.  He also was the former owner/operator of the Charleroi Super Dollar.  Mr. Toth served in the U.S. Army Reserves. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Guzanick Toth;two daughters and sons-in-law, Monica and Keith Brannon of Jefferson Hills and Lori and Steven Gargasz of Cranberry Township;a brother and sister-in-law,Steven E. and Cynthia Toth of Perryopolis;and two sisters, Mrs. Dale (Lorraine) Smith of Perryopolis and Mrs. Tom (Wilma) Fleshman of Mechanicsburg. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon.  Prayer services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus Council 3026 will hold services Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.  The Legion of Mary will recite the Rosary Sunday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.  The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
