Obituary

Joyce Biagini Como,63,of 21 High St.,Monessen,died Thursday,Aug. 27,1998,at 6:15 a.m. in Magee Women's Hospital,Pittsburgh.  She was born April 13,1935,in Belle Vernon,a daughter of the late Bruno Biagini,who died in 1962,and Eleanora Anderson Biagini,who survives and resides at Victoria House,Monessen. Mrs. Como has been a resident of Monessen for 41 years,where she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon. She was the former owner and manager of Magic City Travel Agency of Charleroi.  Mrs. Como was also a member of the Anita Garibaldi Society of Belle Vernon and was one of the founders and a very active member of the support group for ovarian cancer at Magee Women's Hospital. Survivors, in addition to her mother,include her husband,Robert N. Como;a son and daughter-in-law,Kent and Lisa Como of Bethel Park;a daughter,Jennifer J. Como of Greentree,one grandson,Joshua Como,and a sister,Mrs. Robert (Beverly) Anderson of Enfield,Conn. In addition to her father,she was preceded in death by a brother, Norman "Boots" Biagini.  Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon.  Services will be held Saturday at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home,with the Rev. James C. Ramsey,pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon,officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Anita Garibaldi Society of Belle Vernon will conduct services Friday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.  The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
