Obituary

Josephine Dorie Lytle O'Toole, 80, of Roscoe, formerly of Long Branch and Levittown, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006. She was born Aug. 30, 1926, in Ellsworth, a daughter of the late Joseph and Jesse Nesbit Gregg. Mrs. O'Toole was Presbyterian by faith. She was an honorary member of the Janet Ray Circle of the Roscoe Presbyterian Church, a former resident of Long Branch, having moved to Levittown following her marriage to Martin O'Toole. She held various offices in the Roscoe American Legion Auxiliary Post 801, one of which was past president. Mrs. O'Toole was a former employee of Fox Grocery in Belle Vernon and the Trenton Tin Co., in Trenton, N.J., where she was employed as payroll clerk. She is survived by three children, Mrs. Gary (Laura) Deavers, of Roscoe, Curtis (Doris) Lytle, of Brook, Ind., and Virginia Miller and friend Gregg Swartz, of Levittown, three grandchildren, Marc Lytle, of Lafayette, Ind., and Robert and Tammy Deavers, of Roscoe, one great-grandson, Trevor Griffith, of Newell, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Lytle Jr., and her second husband, Martin O'Toole, and two sisters, Jesse Bohn and Alphareta Riley Kremp. Friends will be received at the ED MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES INC., ROSCOE on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Janet Ray Circle will conduct a service Monday evening at 7:30. Funeral and Committal Services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. John Rankin officiating, followed by private interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
