Josephine Josie Bruni; 70; of Monessen; died Thursday; May 20; 2004; in UPMC-Montefiore Hospital; Pittsburgh. She was born March 16; 1934; in Monessen; a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Caterina Guiffrida Angeline. Mrs. Bruni was a lifelong resident of Monessen; a 1952 graduate of Monessen High School and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. She worked as a cashier for Check’s Furniture Store in Monessen for 14 years and later worked as a teller and platform for PNC Bank in Monessen for 34 years. She is survived by her husband of 48 years; Frank Bruni; three brothers and two sisters-in-law; Silvio and Cleo Angeline of Monessen; Julio and Marian Angeline of Belle Vernon and Romeo Angeline of Monessen; one niece; Mitzi Gatto; one great-niece; Leah Gatto; a great-nephew; Sean Bryant; and by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by one sister; Theresa Gatto. Private visitation was held in the DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC.; 441 Reed Ave.; Monessen; followed by a Funeral Mass in the Epiphany of Our Lord R.C. Church on Saturday; May 22. Entombment followed in Belle Vernon Cemetery Mausoleum; Belle Vernon. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Monessen Public Library and District Center.
