Joseph Zima,48,of 256 Menwin Dr.,Norristown, Pa., died Friday morning, April 16,1971,at 6 o'clock in the Veterans Hospital in Philadelphia. He was born in Philadelphia on Feb. 26,1923. A veteran of World War II with the 82nd Airborne Division,he was a truck driver for Tose,Inc. Retail Division of Norristown. He was a member of Teamsters Local 81 of Norristown,American Legion Post 766 of Cornwells Heights and Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 1807 of Norristown. Surviving are his widow,Evelyn Wince Zima; his mother Isabella Zima of Philadelphia; three brothers, John and Stanley of Philadelphia and Walter of Croyden, Pa.; two sisters, Mrs. Adela Tyrinski of Philadelphia and Mrs. Helen Schmicker of Philadelphia. Friends will be received at the Shelby Ferguson Funeral Home, Belle Vernon after 7 p.m. on Sunday, where a Prayer service will be held on Tuesday, April 20, at 9:30 a.m. followed by Requiem High Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian R.C.Church, Belle Vernon with the Rev. Msgr. Martin J. O'Toole officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
