Joseph Wilbert Dillon,57,Tremont miner and well known resident of Belle Vernon,was fatally injured on Saturday morning,December 23,1933 in a fall of slate and died upon admission to the Charleroi-Monessen hospital. Mr.Dillon was trapped beneath a heavy fall and his cries attracted other Tremont workers who removed the man to the surface and rushed him to the hospital. He was unmarried and is survived by one brother,Lace,of Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday from the late home,Bluff street, Belle Vernon. Mr.Dillon was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon and had been employed at Tremont mine for several years.
