Obituary

Joseph Vaccaro,73,of Belle Vernon R.D.3,died Saturday,April 22,1995,at 9:57 a.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Sept.4,1921,in Belle Vernon,a son of the late John and Rosaria Mendicino Vaccaro. A lifelong member of the Belle Vernon community,he was also a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. He was retired from the P&LE Railroad where he was employed as a supervisor. A veteran of World War II,he served in the U.S.Army and was a member of the Disabled Veterans Association. Surviving are his wife,Patricia Mae Devers Vaccaro,a son and his wife,Joseph G.and Frances Vaccaro of Belle Vernon,two daughters,Mrs.Eric (Virginia) Allison of Belle Vernon and Mrs.Gary (Roxanne) Jesionowski of Elizabeth Township and five grandchildren,Ryon Allison,Todd Vaccaro and Andrew,Matthew and Kimberly Jesionowski. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by three brothers,Anthony,Eugene and Gasper Vaccaro,and two sisters,Mary Vaccaro and Julie DiNardo. Friends will be received in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A prayer service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.in the funeral home,followed by Mass of Christian Burial in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon,at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Thomas Federline,parochial vicar,as celebrant. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
